Creating a Case

Need to create an eviction case for a trouble tenant? No problem. With PropertiFlow, you can create a case in no time.

From the property details page, navigate to the units section of the details page and find the unit you need to take action for.

Once there, click Details to access go to the unit details page.

This page will show you all the details on the unit, the current tenant, their status as well as information about their lease.

If you have not put in details for the tenant or lease, you can add them by clicking Create New in the Units section. See our guide on how to add units here: 🏠 Adding Units

Once on the unit details page, click New Case to start a new case filing.

This will open up the PropertiFlow case workflow. If you have filled out the information for a property, unit and lease, you will see all that info already pre-filled in for you. Sweet right?

Fill out the remaining information about the case.

Fields shown represent information that is required by the respective jurisdiction(s) in order to properly file a case. The fields shown will differ from state to state.

Once you are done entering all the information, click Create Case and you are done.

Your law firm will get notified that a case has been created and that they have action to take before it can be submitted.

You can now see your case in the Cases page, which you can reach by clicking Cases on the left menu.

Need to check the status of your case? To see the status of your case, go to the Cases page. Each case is listed by the property name, unit number and current status of the case. For more, see: πŸ“ŠΒ Checking the status of a case

Case Details

Eviction cases have a few types of information that are required in order to properly process a case.

Property

These are the details about the property, such as the address, the client and landlord name as well as the unit.

Lease / Tenant

This details the tenant in question, as well as the lease that is associated to the property and unit in question.

Additional Information

Here is listed all the additional info required by the courts to be able to file the case completely.
