Adding units allows you to save information on a unit and tenant ahead of time. If any action is needed on a tenant, the unit page will have all the information needed.
There are a few ways to add a unit to a property.
Adding from the Properties & Units Main Page
First step is to navigate to the Properties & Units page using the left menu pane.
Once there, in the Units section, select Create New to add a unit. This will bring a pop up, where you can select a property to associate the unit to from a list of properties in your account. Once you have selected a building, click Next to start adding the unit info.
If you canβt find the property you are looking for in the list, you can select Create New Property to create a brand new property to associate the unit to.
Enter the unit number, the number of beds and number of baths of the unit and hit Next to add the details about the lease.
Lastly, enter the Lease Start & End Date, and base rent. Then, click Add Tenant to add a primary tenant to the lease. If there is more than one tenant, click Add another tenant to add another tenant to the lease information.
Once you are done, click Save to add the unit to the property.
Adding from the Property Details Page
Another way to add a unit is directly from the Details page for a property. From the Properties and Units page, select the name of the property you want to add a unit for (this will open up the propertyβs details page).
In the units section, click Create New to make a new unit. This unit will automatically be associated to the property you selected.
Follow the same steps outlined above to add the unit and lease information. Adding unit and lease info
